A customer parking change notice with useful directions

Explain what changed, where customers can check or use an alternative, and how to reach the entrance from there. Keep parking, drop-off, and access instructions separate when their arrangements differ.

Verify the alternative before recommending it

A nearby lot is not automatically an available customer parking option. Confirm its permissions, opening times, payment requirements, and any published restrictions before directing people there. Avoid guaranteeing spaces; availability can change between sending and arrival.

Walk the route from the alternative parking area to your entrance. Mention landmarks and the distance in terms you have checked. If loading, short-term collection, or accessible spaces have a separate arrangement, describe that verified arrangement and a contact route.

Before you send

  1. Confirm dates and the specific parking area affected.
  2. Verify permission and current restrictions for any suggested alternative.
  3. Check the walking route and entrance directions.
  4. Tell staff the same drop-off and collection instructions customers receive.

Message examples to adapt

These are original examples. Replace bracketed details and check every promise before using them.

Lot temporarily unavailable

Subject: Parking change at [Business], [dates]

Our [usual parking area] is unavailable from [start] to [end]. [Verified alternative] is at [address]; check its posted restrictions and charges before parking. Reach our entrance via [walking directions]. Collection or access questions: [contact]. Our opening hours remain [hours].

Pickup arrival instruction

Subject: Collection arrival at [Business] on [date]

For collections on [date], use [verified arrival area] and follow [route] to [pickup entrance]. [Describe confirmed stopping or parking arrangement]. We cannot guarantee a space on arrival. If you need another arrangement, contact [details] before your collection window.

Keep arrival information consistent

Use the same arrival wording in order confirmations, event directions, and the subscriber notice. Conflicting collection instructions can send people to a closed lot even when the main announcement is correct.

If public restrictions or access arrangements change, verify them again before updating customers. Remove the notice when normal parking returns and check any directions saved on your website.

Common questions

Should I include a maps link?

Yes, if it points to the verified destination. Also include the address and written entrance directions so the notice works without the map.

Can KeepMPosted track available spaces?

No. This is an informational announcement; the product does not monitor parking or manage arrival slots.
