Import existing email subscribers into KeepMPosted

Import only contacts who already agreed to your business updates. Review the preview before saving, preserve exclusions and opt-outs, and treat importing as list preparation rather than a send.

Confirm the audience before choosing the file

An existing list can come from another mailing tool or a maintained subscriber file. Purchase records, inquiry contacts, and address books are not automatically update subscribers. Review the original subscription scope and remove contacts who did not agree to the content you plan to send.

Owners and managers can open Subscribers, choose Import emails, and upload or paste a source. KeepMPosted supports CSV, spreadsheets, text, JSON contact lists, and vCard files, with a 5 MB source limit and 10,000 unique emails per import. The preview reports duplicates, invalid or excluded entries, existing subscribers, and suppressed addresses.

Before you send

  1. Verify existing permission for the planned business updates.
  2. Prepare a current export and keep unsubscribed or suppressed contacts excluded.
  3. Review every preview category instead of checking only the new-contact total.
  4. Confirm the consent attestation and save; then plan a separate relevant first message.

Check what the import actually changed

Saving the import sends no email and spends no credits. New contacts become active with the attestation recorded; existing subscribers and opt-outs remain unchanged. New imports start with the default message type.

Do not use importing to bypass an unfinished confirmation from a new QR signup. Keep the source permission record and plan the first send within that scope.

Common questions

Does import send a confirmation request?

No. Importing assumes prior agreement, requires your attestation, and does not send email. QR email signup follows a separate inbox-confirmation flow.

Will it reactivate an old opt-out?

Existing opt-outs and suppressions remain unchanged. Review source exclusions too; moving tools should not restore people who stopped subscribing.

Put this into practice

Use the import preview for your already agreed email audience, then send a relevant update to the default or subsequently chosen types.

KeepMPosted collects subscribers through a QR signup page and sends updates by email or Telegram using prepaid credits. Customers can choose the message types you offer. You write and send each update; SMS and scheduled sending are not available.
