Prepare a spreadsheet email list for import
Use one email value per intended contact and preserve subscription-status information until exclusions are complete. Import the prepared file through the preview, then investigate invalid, duplicate, or excluded rows before saving.
Clean structure without erasing the meaning of rows
A workbook can mix subscribers, orders, notes, and people who unsubscribed. Identify the actual subscriber source first. Deleting every column except email too early can remove the status that tells you whom to exclude.
KeepMPosted reads common email headers, headerless lists, and multiple worksheets, and supports Excel .xlsx/.xls, OpenDocument .ods, and delimited CSV. Limits are 5 MB per source and 10,000 unique emails. File parsing happens in the browser worker; only extracted addresses reach the API.

- Filter using the current subscription status and agreed update scope.
- Review unrelated worksheets and columns for accidental extra contacts.
- Inspect the import preview's exclusions, invalid values, and duplicates before saving.

Resolve errors from the original record
An invalid address may be mistyped, belong to a note field, or have been extracted from the wrong sheet. Check the original record; do not invent a correction because an address looks familiar.
Duplicates should be reviewed as repeated records, not evidence that the person wants extra messages. Existing subscribers retain their current preferences and opt-out state when the import is saved.

Must I convert Excel to CSV?
No. KeepMPosted supports the listed spreadsheet formats directly. Review the preview regardless of format.
Do names and purchase details get imported as customer fields?
This importer extracts email addresses. It does not migrate a CRM profile, order history, or arbitrary spreadsheet columns.
