Shop relocation announcement with old and new addresses

Give the final date at the old shop and the first confirmed service date at the new address. Explain any gap in service and how existing orders, returns, or collections are handled during the move.

Describe the transition as well as the destination

‘We are moving’ announces news but leaves practical questions unanswered. Customers need to know where to visit on each date, whether the old site is still operating, and what happens during packing or setup. Create a dated transition plan first.

Check the new entrance, hours, contact details, and services before inviting visits. If the opening is not confirmed, label it as pending and give a confirmation date. Update existing collection arrangements privately rather than assuming every buyer can use the new site.

Before you send

  1. Confirm the final old-site service day and closure gap.
  2. Verify the new address, opening date, entrance, and service scope.
  3. Review collections, repairs, returns, and reservations during the move.
  4. Update your website, public profile, door notices, and order instructions.

Message examples to adapt

These are original examples. Replace bracketed details and check every promise before using them.

Move dates confirmed

Subject: [Shop] moves to [new address] from [date]

Our final day at [old address] is [date and hours]. We will be closed [gap dates], then open at [new address] on [date and time]. Use [entrance directions]. Existing collections and returns follow [verified route]; contact [details] before travelling for them.

New opening pending

Subject: [Shop] relocation: old site closes [date]

We finish service at [old address] on [date]. Our new site is [address], but its opening date is not yet confirmed. We will share the opening plan by [date]. During the move, existing order questions go to [working contact route].

Replace the old address in retained information

Check receipt templates, collection messages, signup signs, and contact pages as well as the homepage. An old address in an order confirmation can matter more than a new social post.

When the new shop opens, confirm usable services and hours. Remove or redirect old signs with the appropriate property arrangements, and keep the new address visible in follow-up messages.

Common questions

Does my signup QR need replacing?

KeepMPosted's QR opens your workspace signup page. Check that the page and your organization information remain correct; reprint any sign containing the old address.

Does the broadcast update public listings?

No. Update each public listing separately and verify the current address there.

Put this into practice

Notify shop-notice subscribers throughout the confirmed move, while keeping order-specific transition arrangements private.

KeepMPosted collects subscribers through a QR signup page and sends updates by email or Telegram using prepaid credits. Customers can choose the message types you offer. You write and send each update; SMS and scheduled sending are not available.
