Class enrollment opening messages for a new term

Give the enrollment opening date, class dates, relevant entry requirements, and booking route. Explain how a place becomes confirmed; receiving the announcement or joining the list does not reserve one.

Provide enough information to decide before booking

Prospective attendees need the level, session schedule, location, and commitment required. Link to the current course page for pricing, equipment, and terms. Do not force readers to inquire just to discover the basic dates.

Confirm the enrollment process and capacity before opening it. If existing students receive a different window, explain only a priority process you actually operate. Subscriber interests do not establish current student status.

Before you send

  1. Confirm enrollment opening and cutoff dates.
  2. Check course sessions, level, venue, price information, and requirements.
  3. Test the booking route and its confirmation step.
  4. Explain any real priority or eligibility process on the course page.

Message examples to adapt

These are original examples. Replace bracketed details and check every promise before using them.

Enrollment opens

Subject: [Class/course] enrollment opens [date]

Enrollment for [course] opens [date and time] through [link]. Sessions run [dates, times] at [venue] for [level / audience]. Price, requirements, and terms are on the course page. A place is confirmed by [process]. Joining this update list does not book the course.

Upcoming opening preview

Subject: Plan for [Studio]'s [term] classes

Our [term] classes are listed at [link], with [schedule details]. Enrollment starts [date]. Please review [requirements] before booking. We will announce the live route when it opens; existing students follow [verified separate arrangement, if any].

Use real capacity updates

When a class fills, close the booking route and explain the actual next option. Offer a waitlist only when you have a process for it. An interest list is not automatically a course waitlist.

Once someone enrolls, use booking records for private payment, attendance, and arrival instructions. Keep the general enrollment topic focused on opportunities customers chose to hear about.

Common questions

Can KeepMPosted take enrollment payments?

No. Use your course booking process for payments and confirmed places; link to it from the announcement.

Should I promise places to subscribers first?

Only if your actual enrollment process supports that priority and its conditions are clear.

Put this into practice

Offer course-opening announcements as a chosen topic and direct all enrollment decisions to the real course page.
