Launch a customer update list: a practical checklist

Launch the list when the complete journey works: invitation, signup, confirmation, message receipt, and unsubscribe. Have a useful first announcement ready so joining leads to the information you promised.

Start with one dependable route

Choose a narrow launch promise such as shop notices and pickup changes. Use the business name customers recognize, a monitored contact address, and topics you can maintain. A list is ready when someone unfamiliar with your setup can join and understand what will follow.

Test with your own controlled address before putting signs around the shop. In KeepMPosted, configure the organization profile and enabled channels, complete signup, and verify the subscriber appears. Confirm the available credits and audience preview before testing delivery.

Before you send

  1. Review business name, physical postal address, reply-to address, and update topics.
  2. Scan the final printed QR, subscribe, and complete channel confirmation.
  3. Send a controlled test and check the full message, links, and reply route.
  4. Verify preferences and unsubscribe, then place the sign and brief staff on its promise.

Message examples to adapt

These are original examples. Replace bracketed details and check every promise before using them.

Staff launch brief

Our new [Business] list covers [topics]. Customers join themselves at [URL] or through the counter QR. For email, remind them to confirm from their inbox. We will send [first useful update]. Order and booking questions still go to [contact route].

Public launch invitation

You can now get [Business] [topics] by email or Telegram. Choose your updates at [URL] and complete signup. Our first announcement will cover [confirmed upcoming change]. Public hours and notices remain available at [public page].

Review the first real send

Check whether the message answers the question the sign promised. Staff feedback, replies, and completed orders are more useful than judging the list by subscriber count alone. Record confusing questions and improve the next notice.

Keep a launch checklist so changes to signs, topics, or contact details trigger another route check. Testing once does not cover a different print layout or a new signup destination.

Common questions

Should I import my existing contacts first?

Only import people who already agreed to these updates, and review the preview and opt-outs. You can launch a new opt-in route without importing anything.

Do subscribers need a KeepMPosted account?

No. They use your public signup page and their chosen channel. Your business uses an account to manage the list and send updates.

Put this into practice

Use the live demo to explore the workflow, then prepare your actual workspace and test with a controlled subscriber before launch.

KeepMPosted collects subscribers through a QR signup page and sends updates by email or Telegram using prepaid credits. Customers can choose the message types you offer. You write and send each update; SMS and scheduled sending are not available.
