Email or Telegram for local customer updates?
Choose channels your customers already use and can complete signup through. Email and Telegram both support KeepMPosted announcements, but neither guarantees a customer will read a notice before travelling.
Start with the audience's existing habit
Email can suit customers who prefer inbox notices; Telegram can suit people already using that app for local updates. Ask your regulars rather than assuming one channel is universally faster or more effective. You can offer both when your team can explain the signup path.
KeepMPosted email signup finishes through inbox confirmation, while Telegram follows the bot flow. Customers do not need a KeepMPosted account. A customer subscribed separately on both channels may receive a copy through each selected channel, with a credit charge for each successful delivery.
Before you send
- Ask current customers which available channel they actually use.
- Test each enabled signup flow from your printed QR.
- Write a complete body that works without the email subject.
- Preview each channel's audience and cost before sending.
Message examples to adapt
These are original examples. Replace bracketed details and check every promise before using them.
Avoid measuring channel choice by assumptions
Review completed signups, useful responses, and the real customer actions following sends. Do not claim Telegram is always read instantly or email opens establish understanding.
If only one channel is enabled, describe the invitation accordingly. KeepMPosted does not currently provide SMS or scheduled sending, so those should not appear as available options on your sign.
Common questions
Can I send SMS through KeepMPosted?
No. SMS is unavailable. The current customer-update channels are email and Telegram.
Does one person on both channels count as one delivery?
Each selected channel has its own subscription and delivery. A copy on email and a copy on Telegram use separate delivery credits.
Put this into practice
Enable the channels your customers want, then use the audience preview to understand the actual send rather than guessing from headcount.
KeepMPosted collects subscribers through a QR signup page and sends updates by email or Telegram using prepaid credits. Customers can choose the message types you offer. You write and send each update; SMS and scheduled sending are not available.
