Estimate the credit cost of a KeepMPosted announcement
Add the matched email recipients and matched Telegram recipients for the selected send. Each successful delivery uses one credit. Several matching message types do not create several copies on the same channel.
Count channel deliveries, not topic totals
Suppose 70 email subscribers chose bread runs, 50 chose shop notices, and 20 chose both. Sending one email to both types matches 100 email subscriptions, not 120. The overlap is counted once for that channel.
If the same send also matches 25 Telegram subscriptions, the combined estimate is 125 credits. Some of those subscriptions may belong to the same people as email records, but a copy on each selected channel is a separate delivery. The dashboard preview uses the current matching audience.
Before you send
- Choose the content types the announcement actually serves.
- Select the intended channels and review the matching audience.
- Use the preview count rather than summing topic totals yourself.
- Check available credits and re-review if your send choices change.
Message examples to adapt
These are original examples. Replace bracketed details and check every promise before using them.
Understand reservation and final charging
Credits are reserved when the send is accepted. Actual delivery checks can prevent sends to people who opted out or no longer match an active type. Successful deliveries are charged and unused reserved credits are released under the delivery process.
Do not use the planning calculator as an audience selector. The API rechecks recipients and available credits for the actual send, so the composer preview remains your current operational estimate.
Common questions
Does selecting three matching types charge three times?
No. A subscriber matching several selected types receives one delivery per selected channel.
Does import spend credits?
No. Saving an email import sends no message and spends no credits. A later announcement has its own preview and delivery cost.
Put this into practice
Use the worked example for planning, then review your actual selected topics, channels, and credits in the composer before sending.
KeepMPosted collects subscribers through a QR signup page and sends updates by email or Telegram using prepaid credits. Customers can choose the message types you offer. You write and send each update; SMS and scheduled sending are not available.
