Seasonal menu change announcement examples

Give the date the menu changes, what is added or removed, and where customers can see current prices and product information. State whether the menu applies to all service periods or only named sessions.

Make the menu's scope clear

A seasonal lunch menu may not apply to breakfast, catering, or takeaway. Name the affected service. Customers should know whether a favorite is gone entirely or still available at another time.

Verify descriptions and ingredient information before linking the new menu. If a booking included a particular menu or package, handle its change privately. A general announcement should not imply acceptance of new terms for existing reservations.

Before you send

  1. Confirm the effective date and service periods using the menu.
  2. Check additions, removals, prices, and current product information.
  3. Update the menu destination before sharing its link.
  4. Review bookings or packages tied to the previous menu separately.

Message examples to adapt

These are original examples. Replace bracketed details and check every promise before using them.

Menu launch

Subject: [Business] [season] menu starts [date]

Our [season] menu begins [date] for [service periods]. New items include [items]; [old item] is [confirmed change]. View the current menu, prices, and product details at [link]. For dietary questions or an existing booking, contact [details] before ordering.

Menu for selected days

Subject: New [weekday/service] menu at [Business]

From [date], [service] on [days] will use our [menu name]. Other service periods keep [verified arrangement]. The menu is at [link]. Existing package customers will receive their own confirmed arrangements through [booking contact route].

Keep the ordering surface aligned

Check table menus, takeaway boards, order pages, and staff descriptions against the new version. An announcement is not a substitute for current information at the point of purchase.

Use later messages for material changes such as a new service period or an unavailable item. Avoid repeating the full launch announcement when only one detail changed.

Common questions

Should I call every item ‘limited edition’?

Use that wording only when the availability plan supports it. Real service dates and menu details are more useful than vague urgency.

Can I promise dietary suitability in the notice?

Use verified product information and your established question-handling process. Do not infer suitability from an item name.

Put this into practice

Offer menu updates as a chosen topic for customers who want food announcements, alongside separate opening-hour notices.
